Unprecedented time.

It was the strangest of times, it was the scariest of times.

But theatre has found a way.

The 24 Hour Plays has made time-limited theatre to fundraise for charities for decades, on and off Broadway and around the world. Now, they’re doing it virtually with Viral Monologues. Today was round seven.

Last night, Miles sent in a short introduction video listing locations he could film in, prop and costume options, and some thoughts on what kind of performance he’s always wanted to give but has never been given the chance to give. A writer (the brilliant Aniello Fontano) received that at 6pm, wrote all night, and sent in a monologue that Miles received at 10am this morning. Miles had to learn and shoot that by 5pm today.

Presenting, “a start.” by Aniello Fontano, starring Miles, featuring Theodore the dog.
