Biscuits over Broadway.
A year and a half after the shutdown, Miles is gleefully back in a theater. We went from off-Broadway debut to Broadway debut, and from White Husband to white boyfriend (understudy). Miles is covering the legendary Michael Urie (Ugly Betty) in the role of Logan (a neurotic Jewish actor, if you can believe) in Chicken & Biscuits!
This family comedy about a funeral written by Douglas Lyons and directed by Zhailon Levingston (the youngest Black director ever on Broadway!) is truly one of the most joyous audience experiences this town has seen. Also in the cast are icon(s) Norm Lewis (Porgy and Bess), Cleo King (Mike & Molly), Ebony Marshall-Oliver (Ain’t No Mo’), NaTasha Yvette Williams (Waitress), Devere Rogers (The Robber Bridegroom), Alana Raquel Bowers (What to Send Up When It Goes Down), and Aigner Mizzelle (a shining rising star).
Previews began 9/23. Opening was 10/10. Closing is 1/2.
Show times and ticket prices can be found here. Circle In The Square Theatre (1633 Broadway, NY, NY).
Come celebrate life, and stay tuned on social media for when Miles goes on.
